Almost three years ago SJ rode her first pony, Poppy, at our local Christmas tree farm. See below from Christmas '09 - - Has she really grown that much in such a short time?!?!? She fell in love with the pony and, to her, every pony or horse since then has been a "Poppy"...until today.
This morning we attended a children's event at a farm near our house. SJ met, and rode, Copper. I won't say Poppy has been replaced, but she now has some pretty fierce competition as SJ had labeled Copper her new BFF by the time we left the stables.
Contrary to what the seriousness of her facial expressions would have you believe, we had a great time : ) And SJ can't wait to get back in the saddle!!
